At your destination
Discover Haridwar
Haridwar marks the transition from the plains to the Himalayan foothills. Its ghats and temples make it a destination in its own right, while many travellers also use it as a rest stop before a longer Uttarakhand journey.

- 01
Har Ki Pauri
Plan time for the riverfront and, if your schedule allows, evening aarti. Crowds can affect how close vehicles can approach.
- 02
Mansa Devi
A hilltop temple visit requires separate local access arrangements; confirm current options before planning your day.
- 03
Foothill travel
Build in an overnight rest before a demanding onward mountain drive rather than assuming an immediate connection.
Before you set offFestival crowds and seasonal travel can change access around the ghats. Keep riverside walking needs and luggage storage in mind.
At your destination
Discover Yamunotri
The Yamunotri visit combines a road journey into the mountains with an onward trek from the accessible roadhead. The shrine is seasonal, so the day must be shaped around registration, weather and the fitness of your group.
- 01
Janki Chatti approach
The cab portion ends at a permitted roadhead. Confirm local access arrangements close to departure.
- 02
Temple visit
The onward trek and any local assistance are separate from the cab booking; plan an early start without rushing the ascent.
- 03
Return and rest
Keep time for the descent and your return to the overnight halt, with breaks as needed.
Before you set offCheck official temple dates and weather conditions. Suitable footwear, warm layers and medical advice are important for mountain travel.
At your destination
Discover Gangotri
Gangotri sits in the Bhagirathi valley and is usually visited as part of a journey through Uttarkashi and Harsil. Mountain driving, seasonal access and time at the temple should be planned with room for an unhurried return.
- 01
Gangotri Temple
Visit during the official opening season and follow current local arrangements for access and darshan.
- 02
Harsil valley
A scenic area along the approach; optional breaks depend on safe stopping points and the day's schedule.
- 03
Mountain-day planning
Allow time for the return road transfer rather than treating the driving estimate as the whole day.
Before you set offKeep warm clothing, water and essential medicines handy. Follow local weather advisories and never assume an onward trek is part of the road itinerary.
At your destination
Discover Kedarnath
Kedarnath is a high-altitude Himalayan shrine, and reaching it is a different undertaking from a standard road transfer. The cab reaches the permitted roadhead; the onward ascent, overnight arrangements and return need a separate, realistic plan.

- 01
The roadhead
Access towards Gaurikund depends on current local rules. Cab travel does not mean a vehicle transfer all the way to the temple.
- 02
The ascent
The trek requires preparation and a pace suited to your fitness. Pony, palanquin or helicopter options are separate and subject to official availability.
- 03
Time for recovery
Allow rest after the ascent and keep a weather buffer. Consult a medical professional about suitability for high-altitude travel.
Before you set offCheck official yatra registration, seasonal opening dates and current weather advisories. Do not assume helicopter seats or temple access are guaranteed.
At your destination
Discover Badrinath
Badrinath lies in the upper Alaknanda valley, where mountain roads and changing weather set the rhythm of travel. A well-paced visit gives time for arrival, rest and darshan rather than combining every transfer into one long day.

- 01
Badrinath Temple
Plan darshan around the official seasonal opening period and current temple arrangements.
- 02
The Alaknanda valley
Mountain scenery forms part of the journey. Stop only at safe, permitted locations and follow the driver's advice on road conditions.
- 03
Nearby visits
Local sights and excursions depend on access, weather and available time; agree on them rather than assuming they are included.
Before you set offCarry warm layers even when the plains are hot. Keep an overnight plan and allow flexibility if the mountain approach is delayed.

Travel notes
Temple opening dates and road access vary each season. Yatra registration and valid ID may be required. Allow for weather delays and seek medical advice for high-altitude travel.
